I am a mixed media artist living and working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Through project-based capsules of work, I explore subjects and ideas inspired by music, memory, writing, private space, observations, and interactions in the world around me.
Personal imagery inevitably threads itself through each project. These include birds, plants, and the figure, among others. Decorative pattern for texture and image support also plays a prominent role.
Moving panoramas, also known as Crankies, allow me to step into the performing world while using my love of two-dimensional visual art.
I received a BFA from The Atlanta College of Art, a MFA from Washington University, and am a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh.
Exhibitions include The Andy Warhol Museum (Pittsburgh, PA), The Carnegie Museum of Art (Pittsburgh, PA), and the Universidad Nacional de San Augustin de Arequipa (Arequipa, Peru), among others.
